Vacuum
forming is a plastic thermoforming process that involves forming sheets of
material (in this case, plastic) into
three-dimensional shapes through the application of heat and pressure.
Basically during vacuum forming processes, vinyl
is heated until it becomes pliable, and then it is placed over a mold and
drawn in by a vacuum until it takes on the desired
shape. Vacuum thermoforming is a great method for producing plastic parts
that have sharp details and fit nicely as components or housings for specific products. |

The results are in… here’s what our new customers
are saying about our company! 03/18/2009 We have used vacuum formed parts for nearly 40
years! When we are looking for a vacuum former the same
questions come up, such as how’s their Quality? -- Delivery? -- New
technology? -- Price? and Business ethics. We have found that the people at Wurm’s
Woodworking excel at all of these
requirements plus. Also what sets them far above the other vacuum
formers is their willingness to take on new ideas and see them through to
production. Engineering Dept, reputable plumbing products
supplier Vacform Plastic customer since 2008 |
